Rev. Day Broers-Case, Sr. Pastor, came to

Brandon Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

November 1, 2005. She previously  served as Senior Minister

at Fort Myers Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

A lifelong Disciple, Rev. Day grew up in the Illinois-Wisconsin region,

a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dixon, Illinois. 

Rev. Day graduated from the University of Illinois in 1979 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her minor was Human Development. She taught for 15 years in Brevard County Florida schools and during that time completed her Master of Education degree in Education Leadership (Administration and Supervision) at the University of Central Florida.

In 2002, Rev. Day graduated from Lexington Theological Seminary with her Masters of Divinity. She was ordained on Pentecost Sunday May 19, 2002 in Davis Memorial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where her grandfather Rev. Charles Day was Minister Emeritus.
She is married to David Case and they have two grown children and two grandchildren.

Rick Barclay, Director of Music

Rick has been Brandon Christian Church's music

director since March of 2013, where he conducts

the choir, works with the praise band, and

composes music for special occasions.  

Rick has been active in music ministry throughout the Tampa

Bay area with various churches since moving to the area from

Oklahoma City in 1999.

Rick holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, and has worked professionally in the music industry since the mid 1980s.  He continues to freelance through his business, Barclasion Music, where he supplies music for TV, film and various other clients.

Lisa Peterson, Admin Assistant

Lisa joined the BCC staff in April 2018. She

completed a Bachelor of Science in History at

Liberty University in May 2018. Raised in PA, 

and formerly a self-employed bookkeeper, she

and her the family moved to FL to be 

closer to the newest member...a little granddaughter!

She is married to a retired naval officer, and has lived and traveled the US and Asia. The mother of a son and three daughters, she enjoys spending time with her family, and the warmth of the gulf waters. She is working towards her certification in genealogy, and loves farm animals. She hopes to someday have a teaching farm.
