Introduction: Brandon Christian Church belongs to the denomination known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with general headquarters in Indianapolis,
Indiana and regional office in Orlando, Florida. We are a family oriented church striving to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Our worship and education programs are Bible based.
History: We originated in the United States in 1832 by men whose dream was Christian Unity. They chose the name, The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as a name that could include everyone who confessed their

Governance: Congregations are locally governed by an elected board, which is responsible for the on-going business and ministry of the church. Each church sets its own budget, programs, and calls its own minister.
Membership: One becomes a member by confessing their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and baptism. If they are new Christian, baptism is by immersion. Christians from other denominations are accepted into
membership by an acknowledgment of their previous baptism and confirmation of their faith in Christ.
Serving the Lord and one another: The church participates in local
and national ecumenical fellowships and ministries. The congregation provides opportunities for worship, education, fellowship, service, and spiritual growth. As a model for Christian stewardship, the church sets aside one-tenth of its receipts for world outreach through our
denomination's home and foreign missions programs, and encourages its members to be equally faithful in stewardship to the local church.
